1. Description of service

StoryBox is an AI-powered platform that generates custom audio stories for children. Our Service allows you to:

• Create personalized audio stories using AI technology
• Customize character voices and story themes
• Download MP3 files to play on a Toniebox or any other device
• Manage your stories through your account

StoryBox is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by tonies.

2. Account registration

To use StoryBox, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

You must be 18 or older to create a StoryBox account. Children can listen to stories you make or share with them, but can't have their own account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use StoryBox to:

• Generate content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate for children
• Create content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Upload someone's photo or voice, or clone their voice, without their permission (or a parent's permission, if they are a child)
• Attempt to bypass our safety filters or guidelines
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Share your account with others or resell access
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to reverse engineer our AI systems

5. Subscription and payment

Free plan

Free accounts start with 6 credits to try StoryBox. This allowance doesn't refill each month. To make more stories, choose a plan or buy a credit pack.

Paid plans

We offer monthly subscription plans and one-off credit packs. Current prices and allowances are listed on our pricing page. By purchasing, you agree to:

• Pay all fees according to your selected plan
• Authorize recurring charges for subscriptions
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled
• For web subscriptions, pay for extra audio minutes beyond your credit balance at the overage rate shown for your plan. Apple subscriptions are prepaid and do not use overage. Video generation requires sufficient credits.

iPhone purchases are billed by Apple at the price shown in the app. Apple subscriptions renew monthly unless canceled in Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting your StoryBox account does not cancel Apple billing. Credit packs do not expire; subscription credits reset each billing period.

Refunds

For Apple purchases, request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Web subscription fees and credit packs are non-refundable except where required by law. If a technical problem stops your stories from being made, email hello@audiobox.cc and we'll help.

6. Intellectual property

Your content

You retain ownership of the story prompts you provide. For the AI-generated content (scripts, audio, etc.), you receive a license to use the generated stories for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Our service

StoryBox, including our technology, branding, and interface, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Service without permission.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• StoryBox is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service
• We are not responsible for content generated by our AI systems

9. Service availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Suspend accounts that violate these Terms

10. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, your access to the Service will end and your data will be deleted as described in our Privacy policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of StoryBox after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
